Artist: The Professional is an educational project for students of art academies and departments across Poland.
As part of the project, academic experts: artists, curators, critics and gallery owners, all hired by the ING Polish Art foundation, deliver a series of classes in co-operation with art academies across the country. Artists-to-be learn about how to organise their daily work, proper present themselves and their work to curators and gallery owners, how and where to organise debut exhibitions, as well as gain knowledge on insurance for artists, and how to protect their rights. The project supplements university curriculum knowledge, enabling initial industry contacts through the lecture-and-workshop meeting format. All classes are free-of-charge.
