"Young People Want Neither to Study Nor to Work" in MOCAK
We would like to invite you to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Kraków where Marcin Maciejowski’s work from the collection of the ING Polish Art Foundation will be shown from 19 May. The painting “Young People Want Neither to Study Nor to Work” will be presented at the "Sport in Art" exhibition. This will be the second presentation, following the one of “History in Art”, within the series on how artists perceive matters of everyday life.
The exhibition aims at presenting sport as a social and media phenomenon – an atavist ritual satisfying the need to fight and a complex world of rules and symbols depicting society.
The exhibition will present the works of many artists from Poland and abroad, and will included paintings, films and activities of artists risking their lives in the face of extreme sport feats.
Works of the following artists will be presented at the exhibition: Kauppi Assa, Kuba Bąkowski, Andrea Bender, Cezary Bodzianowski, Olaf Breuning, Roderick Buchanan, Paolo Canevari, Leon Chwistek, Josef Dabernig, Simone Demandt, Edward Dwurnik, Margret Eicher, Harun Farocki, Richard Fauguet, Massimo Furlan, Wolfgang Gärber, Volker Hildebrandt, Vlastimil Hoffman, Pravdoliub Ivanov, Rafał Jakubowicz, Zuzanna Janin, Justyna Koeke, Katarzyna Kozyra, Kamil Kuskowski, Robert Kuśmirowski, Antal Lakner, Sigalit Landau, Zbigniew Libera, Ulrike Lienbacher, Ingeborg Lüscher, Marcin Maciejowski, Olaf Nicolai, Jerzy Nowosielski, Agnieszka Polska, Kathrin Rabenort, Leni Riefenstahl, Sławomir Rumiak, Katarzyna Sagatowska, Janek Simon, Zdzisław Sosnowski, Beat Streuli, Leon Tarasewicz, Timm Ulrichs, Wunderteam.
