The “2000-2010 Collection of the ING Polish Art Foundation” Catalogue awarded
The ING Polish Art Foundation has been awarded in the 1st Polish Nationwide Contest of Art Catalogues and Albums. The “2000-2010 Collection of the ING Polish Art Foundation” Catalogue received third place in the Art Album Category.
The contest was organised by REMINISCENCJE, the Foundation for Art, partnered by the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and the Warsaw University Library. The works for the contest were sent in by 150 institutions, mainly museums and galleries, but also by design studios and individuals.
The photographs of all works sent in with their detailed bibliographic description can be found at www.konkurskatalogow.pl. A post-contest exhibition is held at the Warsaw University Library until April 7, 2011. The exhibition presents the best works selected in the contest, both original catalogues and albums, as well as photographs of those worth noting.
The works were judged by the jury in the panel of: professor Ksawery Piwocki (JM Rector of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, member of the Programme Board of the National Museum in Warsaw), Monika Ma³kowska (art critic and publicist), Andrzej P¹gowski (the author of more than 1000 posters, owner and creative director of "KreacjaPro"), Marek Nowicki (collector, publisher of Sztuka.pl and CEO of Art New Media), Jaros³aw Trybuœ (art historian, architect critic, lecturer, Honorary Ambassador of Warsaw, candidate for the European Capital of Culture in 2016), Andrzej Budek (founder of creative agency KotBury, member of the Association of Applied Graphic Designers.
The contest was held under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
