Description

The work Akumulacja 1 is one of the works in the Vinylowiec series. Vinylowce are painting installations created from coloured adhesive foil, cut out and joined together, in Jastrzębski unique style. The origins of this style come from the streetart vlepka, which the artist initially developed into a so-called implant, then to an octopus style in order to create the end-form - a vinylowiec in 2007.

Created from the smallest parts, i.e. colored dots - vinylowce 'grow' according to rules set by Jastrzębski (chance is also acceptable –  for example based on rolling dice). The set of rules defining the form of each vinylowiec is called vinylogos. Vinylogos defines colour, direction of development, and the moment of its completion. Each vinylowiec is a kind of independent world, governed by independent principles, presented in the form of a code. In Jastrzębski’s creative method, based on the methodology of biological and mathematic sciences, one can find analogies to philosophical deductions on the origins and forms of the universe.
