The ING Polish Art Foundation was established in the year 2000 by companies of the ING Group acting in Poland. The Foundation’s activities execute the CRS policy (Corporate Social Responsibility) of the ING Group. The other ING foundation operating in Poland is the ING for Children Foundation.
The aim of the Foundation is to promote Polish contemporary art, in particular the works of young artists. This mission is realized, chiefly by the creation of an art collection. Since the ING Group has been present in Poland since the early 1990s, the year 1990 marks the symbolic date of the collection’s beginning. The collection consists only of works created after this date.
The Foundation’s collection is exhibited in the offices of the donors and is presented at external exhibitions. Documentation of most of the works are made available under Creative Commons licenses (the scope of the licenses is available at each work). In addition to building the collection, the Foundation initiates, organizes and is the partner of many artistic projects.
The Foundation’s activities are an element of the worldwide ING patronage programme, in which art plays an essential role in the creation of the organisation culture of ING.
The Foundation logo was designed by Jacek Walesiak.
